Retail Customer Service Associate
General Duties and Responsibilities
- Fulfills instructions from supervisors and assists other team members in store functions
- Trains store team members
- Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand customer needs and provide expert advice in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines
- Provides an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
- Takes complex customer orders, provides accurate pricing information, and assembles parcels for shipping
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
- Ensures confidentiality of customer data and handles financial transactions using a POS terminal
- Cleans, repairs, and stocks retail store equipment and supplies
- Supports the store’s merchandising efforts and takes preemptive actions to prevent errors and waste
- Completes required financial paperwork and assists with financial reporting
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Functions
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to work cooperatively and follow instructions
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Able to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
