General Duties and Responsibilities
- Fulfills instructions from supervisors and assists other team members in store functions
- Trains store team members
- Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand customer needs and provide expert advice on printing, signs, graphics, and shipping product lines
- Provides an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
- Takes complex customer orders, provides accurate pricing information, and prepares goods for shipping
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
- Ensures confidentiality of customer data and handles documents, media, and packages carefully
- Processes financial transactions, cleans, repairs, and stocks retail store equipment and supplies
- Stays current on retail store merchandising materials and displays products and signage properly
- Takes preemptive actions to prevent errors and waste
- Completes required financial paperwork and assists with financial reporting
- Follows FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adheres to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Functions
- Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
- Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees on a consistent basis
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
- Ability to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction on a consistent basis
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure on a consistent basis
- Ability to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time on a consistent basis
- Able to operate with minimal supervision
- Able to adhere to all FedEx Office team member and retail store standards, as outlined in the team member handbook
Preferred Qualifications
- Works with management to reduce company costs/wastes and optimize profitability in areas of responsibility
- Applies Quality concepts presented at training during daily activities
- Supports FedEx Office Quality initiatives
