Retail Customer Service Associate

General Duties and Responsibilities

• Fulfills instructions from supervisors and assists other team members in store functions
• Trains store team members
• Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand customer needs and provide expert advice on printing, signs, and graphics
• Provides an outstanding customer service experience by anticipating customer needs, suggesting alternatives, and finding solutions
• Takes complex customer orders, provides accurate pricing, assembles parcels, and prepares goods for shipping
• Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
• Ensures confidentiality of customer data and handles financial transactions, including cash and change
• Cleans, repairs, and stocks retail store equipment and supplies
• Stays current on retail store merchandising materials and displays products and signage
• Takes preemptive actions to prevent errors and waste
• Completes required financial paperwork and assists with financial reporting
• Follows FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adheres to all policies and procedures

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ months of specialized experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Functions

• Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
• Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
• Able to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
• Able to function in a fast-paced environment under substantial pressure
• Able to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Able to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
