General Duties and Responsibilities
- Fulfills instructions from supervisors and assists other team members in performing store functions
- Trains store team members
- Demonstrates consultative behaviors to understand and address individual customer needs
- Provides expert advice in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines, and recommends appropriate FedEx Office products and services
- Ensures all customer issues are resolved promptly and satisfactorily
- Takes complex customer orders, provides accurate pricing, and prepares goods for shipping
- Maintains a safe, clean, and orderly retail store
- Ensures confidentiality of customer data and handles documents, media, and packages carefully
- Processes financial transactions using a POS terminal, including handling cash and making change
- Cleans, repairs, and stocks all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies
- Stays updated on retail store merchandising materials and displays products and signage properly
- Takes proactive steps to prevent errors and waste
- Completes required financial paperwork and assists with financial reporting
- Follows FedEx Office standard operating procedures and adheres to legal, HR, safety, customer service, and security policies and procedures
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 6+ months of specialized experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Essential Functions
- Ability to stand for entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
- Ability to move and lift up to 55 pounds
- Ability to bend, twist at waist and knees, communicate effectively, cooperate, and follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure and maintain attention and concentration
- Able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and adhere to FedEx Office standards
- Able to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours
