Responsibilities
- Handle all donations with care and respect.
- Identify high-value, unique, vintage, antique, or collectible items to be sold through online marketplaces.
- Make an initial decision if the item is complete and free of significant cosmetic or physical damage and test functionality. Items worth $30 or more should be sent to E-Commerce.
- Select housewares of high value, manifest, and place selected items in tote for transport.
- Photograph textiles, then list with the assistance of AI tools using our online listing program (if applicable).
- Produce quality photographs that highlight the textiles, taken from multiple angles and showing all critical features, distinguishable markings/tags, or potential flaws.
- Write product listings with detailed and accurate descriptions with the assistance of AI tools, ensuring no typographical or spelling errors.
- Prepare the production station before and clean the station after every shift.
- Maintain high quality and high quantity standards and quotas while working quickly and steadily.
- Provide positive customer service interactions, including greetings, assistance, and thanks, to in-person customers, donors, and those over the phone.
- Uphold store cleanliness standards by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and shining surfaces.
- Establish and maintain positive and professional relationships with team members and leadership, and work cross-functionally with other teams to increase communication.
- Complete monthly training to learn how to select high-value items for E-Commerce.
- Assist team by educating staff on high-value donations for E-Commerce.
- Utilize safe work practices through awareness and observation, contributing to a hazard-free workplace by removing obstructions and keeping aisles and walkways debris-free.
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times, adhering to MERS/Goodwill's dress code.
- Safeguard agency assets, including cash, donated items, and purchased items, from harm, damage, or theft.
- Report any incidents of theft or unauthorized possession of agency assets.
- Adhere to all MERS/Goodwill policies, retail procedures, safety, and security regulations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- No degree required; High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, customers, and management (both verbally and written).
- Must be organized and capable of interacting with a diverse work population.
- Necessary math, computer, and website navigation skills.
- Complex reasoning and decision-making skills.
- Ability to type 40+ WPM is strongly preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to move throughout the facility.
- Lift 25 pounds, push and pull loads of 100+ pounds.
- Full range of motion, including bending, lifting, twisting, pulling, and pushing.
- Ability to stand for up to 4 hours and use warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies to move products in extreme temperatures.

Pay
Hourly Rate with bonus potential up to $250/month.
