About the role

Avocado is currently seeking a Retail Brand Experience Assistant Store Manager for their Pasadena, CA location. This is a non-exempt, hourly position with competitive pay and potential monthly bonuses.

Responsibilities

  • Assume management duties in absence of a store manager.
  • Lead by example for your team, fostering an exceptional guest experience.
  • Train and ensure the team is well-versed in all products and processes.
  • Lead KPIs/OKRs around sales goals and provide continuous evaluation and feedback.
  • Maintain quality assurance, create and enforce SOPs, suggest improvements to operations, efficiency, and service.
  • Manage employee schedules, hours, vacations, etc.
  • Participate in company initiatives and concept projects.
  • Resolve customer experience issues and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Engage in digital sales activities, conduct sales and service through various channels, and respond to customer inquiries.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of retail or equivalent experience, preferably in store management or assistant management.
  • Experience managing and training store employees is a plus.
  • Mac and Google suite proficiency is preferred.
  • Comfortable taking phone and video appointments.
  • Invested in creating a balanced and healthy environment for staff and guests.
  • A team player who actively contributes to the team.
  • Desire towards ongoing self-improvement and professional development.
  • Passionate about Avocado Green Brands' values of healthy living, environmental awareness, and social responsibility.
  • Café experience; training experience; experience running branded events is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Mobility: Ability to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Movement: Ability to execute repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers, including reaching or bending repeatedly.
  • Move: Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions.
  • Lift: Capability to lift up to 200 pounds using lifting aids and/or equipment.
  • Operate: Constantly operate a computer and other office machines such as printers and tablets.
  • Communicate: Frequent communication with other team members to update on the status of a task.

Skills

  • Ability to lift 200 lbs. and be on your feet all day.
