Retail Bike Technician

About the role

The Bike Technician is a technically focused role centered around providing a differentiated customer experience specifically to cyclists. This individual will build and repair bicycles according to established procedures, leveraging personal experiences and industry research to offer strong product recommendations tailored to customer needs.

You will create a world-class customer experience through passionate service and engagement, particularly in the Bike Department, while upholding company standards for merchandise presentation and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Build and repair bicycles in accordance with established procedures.
• Assist with the assembly of exercise equipment as needed.
• Provide passionate customer service and sell through customer engagement, including product recommendations.
• Promote company programs such as warranty sales, Scorecard (loyalty program), private-label credit cards, and seasonal promotions.
• Achieve sales goals through selling bikes and related merchandise.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards and signage in the Bike Department.
• Adhere to safety, loss prevention, and standard operating procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of all Company information.
• Support the team across the store in an all-hands-on-deck approach.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
