Retail Banking Supervisor

About the role

The Retail Banking Supervisor oversees the Retail Banker and Personal Banker areas of the New Richmond, WI branch, handling training, scheduling, and daily activities while ensuring compliance and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage Retail Banker and Personal Banker employees, including scheduling, balancing, training, vault, ATM, security, and reporting/compliance duties.
• Provide training and development for direct reports.
• Maintain a clear understanding of all deposit products and services to make accurate product suggestions.
• Handle complex issues with higher override authority.
• Recommend interviewing/hiring decisions, performance reviews, improvements, terminations, and salary adjustments.
• Ensure adherence to all bank policies and procedures for Retail Banker functions.
• Coordinate with vendors for maintenance and supply needs.
• Participate in internal and external audits as needed.
• Order and ship money for Fed.
• Provide backup support in the Personal Banker department.
• Assist with Retail Banking duties and resolve balancing issues using knowledge of common errors.
• Answer phones as required by branch needs.
• Assist with Safe Deposit Box entry.
• Follow directives of the First National Community Bank Retail Banker & Personal Banker Manuals.
• Complete ongoing online training as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous supervisory/managerial experience desired.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial institution Personal Banker/Retail Banker activities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Proficiency with computer skills and standard office equipment.
• Ability to uphold confidentiality and customer privacy.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task.
• Conflict resolution abilities.
• Software proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams); core bank software (Jack Henry) desired.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay commensurate with education and/or experience.
• $7/hour shift differential for Saturday hours worked.

Schedule

• Monday‑Wednesday: 7:45 am – 4:00 pm
• Thursday: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
• Friday: 7:45 am – 4:00 pm OR 8:00 am – 5:00 pm (rotation)
• Saturday: 8:15 am – 12:00 pm (every fourth week remote unless onsite needed)
• Hours generally Monday‑Friday, 7:45 am – 5:30 pm onsite, with occasional travel to other branches (mileage reimbursed).
