Retail Associate

About the role

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, responding to customer inquiries, and performing various cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat all customers and associates with respect and courtesy
• Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions politely and knowledgeably
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and replenishing supplies
• Manage inventory and follow loss prevention protocols
• Follow all policies and procedures concerning cash, checks, cards, and refunds
• Maximize productivity by executing all store best practices

Requirements

• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates
• Basic mathematical calculations ability
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

• Effectively communicate with customers and associates in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
• Ability to manage work processes and prioritize tasks
