About the role

The Retail Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience. They are responsible for greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, and maintaining a clean and organized store.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment
• Treat customers and associates with respect and courtesy
• Assist customers with merchandise and answer questions politely and knowledgeably
• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas
• Manage inventory and follow loss prevention protocols
• Follow all policies and procedures regarding cash, checks, and refunds
• Maximize productivity by executing store best practices

Qualifications and Special Skills

• Effective communication with customers, associates, and leadership
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to use janitorial equipment and supplies

Qualifications and Special Skills Required

• Effectively communicate with customers, associates, and leadership in a friendly, respectful, cooperative, and pleasant manner
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations commonly used in retail environments
• Physical requirements: able to use all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs as required; able to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store; able to regularly bend at the waist, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop; able to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds; able to use janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other assigned supplies
