Retail Asset Protection Specialist (Loss Prevention) - Miami
About The Role
Reporting to Sr. Manager, Retail and Sales Asset Protection, the Asset Protection Specialist is an integral role in our retail stores. With key responsibilities including security, Asset Protection, and general wellbeing of facilities, employees, and clients, as well as overseeing operational functions and inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Support safety and security processes and procedures, including business continuity plans
- Utilize CCTV to review video for safety and investigations and bring internal and external cases to closure
- Help lead weekly inventory cycle count and partner with inventory operations to reconcile inventory variances
- Conduct daily/weekly/monthly audits, to ensure shortage control, safety, and all other Asset Protection policies and procedures are adhered to
- Responsible for physical security of the building as a key holder, including off hour alarm response
- Train current and new team members on AP processes and systems and to ensure proper compliance; Train and guide new hires during onboarding
- Work closely with the entire store team at The RealReal to help support total business needs and Asset Protection initiatives
- Collaborate with store management to help support business needs and achieve store objectives
- Investigate industry trends, understand market conditions, and develop AP strategies to stay ahead of the competition
- Identify internal and external theft incidents and properly document
Requirements
- Minimum Requirements: 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience
- Strong understanding of physical security including CCTV, EAS, alarms, access control, and lock and key
- Able to work well with all levels of management within the company
- Able to work with minimal supervision and be a self-starter
- Able to adapt to shifting priorities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to work will within a team
- Able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time
- A customer-focused mindset with a drive to provide a warm and welcoming environment
- Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Able to respond to alarm company calls and be available after hours as needed
Qualifications
- Preferred Requirements: 1+ year of Asset Protection or Security experience in a Retail store setting

Pay
The expected hourly rate for this role is $20.00-$25.07. To determine starting pay we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location and an evaluation of a candidate’s skills, experience, market demands, and internal parity. Additionally, salary is just one component of TRR’s total rewards package. Depending on role, employees may also be eligible for a bonus program, incentive pay and benefits.
