Restructuring Counsel

About the role

Katten, a global Am Law 100 law firm, seeks a highly qualified Counsel to join its premier Restructuring Practice in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles or New York.

Responsibilities

• Represent secured lenders and/or other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings (including DIP financing and cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions)
• Represent secured lenders and/or other creditors in out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, asset dispositions, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors

Requirements

• At least 10 years of law firm experience
• Strong communication skills
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong writing and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Experience representing secured lenders and/or other creditors in bankruptcy proceedings (including DIP financing and cash collateral use, plans of reorganization and asset dispositions)
• Experience representing secured lenders and/or other creditors in out-of-court workouts, restructurings, foreclosures, asset dispositions, liability management transactions and assignments for the benefit of creditors

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

Pay

The estimated salary range for this role is $300,000 - $470,000. Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to experience/job history, class/graduation year, and practice area of the selected candidate.
