About the role
We are looking to add a PRN Restorative Technician/Aide to our staff in Oskaloosa, IA for the Assisted Living Facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Assists in restorative therapy services provision by carrying out delegated, selected programs regarding the patient's care under the supervision of the therapist or the assistant, including ambulation, transfer, grooming, and feeding.
- Assists with individual/supervised/group exercises as assigned and under the direction and supervision of the therapist and/or therapy assistant.
- Ensures documentation of program interventions and outcomes or responses to restorative services provided, consistent with the patient’s care plan.
- Provides written reports on patient’s progress.
- Provides/assists in the transportation of patients/residents to restorative training areas.
- Communicates with therapists/nursing staff as needed about the patient's care and any changes in their conditions, and with the patient about their care.
- Participates in quality improvement activities as assigned by the Area Manager.
- Responsible for service and operational excellence of all assigned activities to ensure the delivery of quality services and/or outcomes required to meet or exceed expectations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; one year of experience in a health care setting preferred.
- Effective English verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to function effectively in multi-faceted systems and interact with all levels of staff and customers.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to perform basic math skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide).
- Current CPR certification.
Pay
$15-$17 per hour, negotiable.
