Restorative Nurse Aide CNA

About the role

You are instrumental in improving the lives of our residents. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Warren Barr South Loop by performing mobility exercises for our residents in accordance with their individualized care plan, assisting residents attain the highest physical and emotional wellbeing possible by restoring mobility, performing Activities of Daily Living, assisting residents with assistive devices, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment and maintaining education.

Responsibilities

• Perform mobility exercises for residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
• Absorb and apply knowledge of resident needs and preferences to provide compassionate care.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Use assistive devices to help residents maintain independence.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for all residents.
• Maintain ongoing education and skill development to enhance your ability to provide quality care.

Requirements

• Unencumbered State of Illinois C.N.A. certificate, or certificate of completion from a State of Illinois Accredited C.N.A. training course.
• At least one year of work experience as a CNA.
• One year prior Restorative Nurse Aide experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
