Restorative Aide - CNA

Responsibilities

• Assist residents doing progressive range of motion exercises and progressive mobility, to include but not be limited to bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
• Aid residents in progressive eating, during breakfast and lunch.
• Assist residents in progressive bathing and dressing.
• Aids and teaches residents in progressive grooming.
• Takes and records vital signs of residents according to facility schedule and policies, and during restorative activities.
• Documents and/or reports information regarding the residents’ progress and medical condition to charge nurses and supervisor.
• Works closely with the physical therapy department.
• Documents all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
• Affirms personal and staff compliance to all state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Affirms personal and staff compliance to residents’ rights.
• Provides care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.

Qualifications

This position requires a valid Florida CNA license. Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required. Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff, and a positive attitude are essential. Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is preferred but not required.

Schedule

Shifts: In general, we offer 8-hour shifts for our Restorative Aide/CNA positions. We have openings for full-time (30+ hours weekly) positions: Days: 6am-2:30 pm (36 hours per week with every 3rd weekend rotation)
