Restorative Aide - CNA

Responsibilities

• Aid residents in progressive range of motion exercises and mobility activities such as bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
• Support residents in progressive eating, particularly during breakfast and lunch.
• Help residents with progressive bathing and dressing activities.
• Teach residents progressive grooming techniques.
• Take and record vital signs of residents according to facility schedules and policies, and during restorative activities.
• Document and report residents' progress and medical conditions to charge nurses and supervisors.
• Participate in committees as needed.
• Document all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
• Maintain compliance with residents' rights.
• Provide care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passion for working with seniors and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
