Responsibilities
- Aid residents in progressive range of motion exercises and mobility activities such as bed activities, sitting, transferring, standing, stair climbing, and walking.
- Support residents in progressive eating, particularly during breakfast and lunch.
- Help residents with progressive bathing and dressing activities.
- Teach residents progressive grooming techniques.
- Take and record vital signs of residents according to facility schedules and policies, and during restorative activities.
- Document and report residents' progress and medical conditions to charge nurses and supervisors.
- Participate in committees as needed.
- Document all restorative tasks in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations including blood borne pathogens, infection control, use of hazardous materials, and fire safety.
- Maintain compliance with residents' rights.
- Provide care in accordance with the restorative aide assignment sheet.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for working with seniors and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
