Restoration Technician – Mitigation

About the role

As a Mitigation Technician at Kustom, you’ll support emergency response and restoration efforts after water, fire, or mold damage. Responsibilities

• Perform water extraction and emergency mitigation services safely and efficiently
• Absorb and prepare rooms/areas for work activities including staging and protecting contents
• Operate and monitor drying equipment, recording moisture data as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, tools, equipment, and company vehicle
• Complete required documentation and upload job photos/updates into database
• Communicate professionally with customers while supporting project leadership
• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency responses
• Follow all jobsite safety standards and hazard identification practices
• Adapt and provide support across multiple operations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of experience in a hands-on, physically demanding role
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, clear communicator, and outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs. frequently
• Comfortable working on ladders/at heights, in confined and tight areas, as well as perform in extreme heat, humidity, and cold weather
• IICRC Certification preferred

What You Bring
