Restoration Technician
About the Role
This is a hands-on Restoration Technician position with United Water Restoration Group in Long Island, NY. You'll perform water, fire, mold, and hazard restoration work with precision, quality, and safety, ensuring every job meets industry standards and NYS compliance regulations. You'll drive company vehicles, maintain clean and organized job sites, and communicate directly with clients, teammates, and project managers. You'll also join the on-call rotation for emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform water, fire, mold, and hazard restoration work with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards and NYS regulations on every job site.
- Drive company vehicles and ensure job sites are clean, organized, and progressing on schedule.
- Communicate effectively with clients, teammates, and project managers to prevent oversights.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergencies, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of trade experience.
- Restoration clean-up (water, mold, fire damage) experience is preferred but not required.
- Valid NYS driver's license and reliable transportation available 24/7.
- Ability to repeatedly push, pull, lift, and carry equipment, and work around cleaning products and chemicals.
- Comfortable with a rotating on-call schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Highly responsive, self-motivated, and able to empathize with clients during stressful situations.
