About the role
Founded in 1988, Power Dry is a leader in emergency water and mold removal services, serving the greater Kansas City area. As we expand into the Ohio market, we're seeking a high-performing, customer-focused Restoration Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Assist and be responsible for drying out and cleaning homes damaged by water and flooding.
- Perform tasks such as moving and setting up drying equipment, extracting wet flooring, and some light demolition of affected drywall, carpet, padding, and other types of light building materials.
- Follow written procedures for emergency services.
- Move affected household items.
- Set up and monitor drying equipment.
- Apply antimicrobial and cleaning products.
- Keep job sites clean and professional.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- Mitigation or Construction industry experience a plus but not required.
- Able to work safely in a construction environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to provide detailed documentation of work performed.
- Must possess reliable personal transportation.
- Must be available for routine on-call rotational emergency services, weekend, and after-hours work.
- Participate in demolition, remediation, cleaning, packing, moving, and maintaining a clean and safe job site.
- Follow written production procedures.
- Daily completion and tracking of job paperwork, timecards, checkout forms, vehicle records, and other necessary paperwork.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Carpet cleaning.
- Other duties as assigned by the Mitigation Manager.

- Must be able to work overtime as needed and some holidays (flexible rotating schedule).
- High level of listening skills and positive attitude.
- Must be punctual and reliable.
