Restoration Technician Apprentice

About the role

The Restoration Technician Apprentice is an entry-level position aimed at individuals aspiring to establish a career in the restoration industry. This role involves learning fundamental skills such as water mitigation, demolition, drying techniques, and job site operations through hands-on experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned restoration tasks as directed by technicians or supervisors
• Absorb and assist with job site setup, cleanup, and maintaining an organized work area
• Safeguard company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times
• Assist with demolition tasks under supervision using hand and power tools
• Remove debris and prepare affected areas for restoration work
• Assist with loading and unloading tools, equipment, and materials
• Support drying equipment setup and breakdown as instructed
• Observe and assist with moisture readings and equipment monitoring
• Document tasks as assigned
• Clean and organize company vehicles, tools, and equipment
• Ensure all materials are properly stored and ready for use
• Maintain a professional appearance and respectful behavior on job sites
• Follow direction when interacting with customers
• Arrive on time and ready to work each day
• Follow instructions, complete assigned tasks, and demonstrate a willingness to learn

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Strong willingness to learn and grow within the restoration industry
• Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• Basic knowledge or interest in construction, plumbing, or restoration preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong customer service skills with a desire to help people in difficult situations
• IICRC certification is a plus (not required)
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
• Strong work ethic with a desire to learn, improve, and grow within the company

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, and move 50 pounds or more regularly
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and crouching for extended periods
• Working in environments with water, moisture, dust, and debris
• Working in confined spaces and varying temperatures
• Operating tools, equipment, and machinery safely
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
