Restoration Supervisor

Applicants must be willing to travel for an extended length of time, pass a background check, and have documentation necessary to complete an I-9. The role involves leading and working alongside general labor personnel during event-driven projects, ensuring quality work, meeting deadlines, and fostering a team environment. Successful candidates will have a background in demolition, restoration, and/or construction, with previous disaster relief experience being a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct basic cleaning steps for fire, water, and mold, including but not limited to: wipe down, pack, inventory control, removing debris, wrap goods, load and unload vehicles.
- Meet deadlines by maintaining or exceeding productivity.
- Assist Project Manager (PM) or Assistant Project Manager (APM) in training agency general labor while on projects.
- Lead a crew by explaining job tasks and working side-by-side with the team.
- Communicate effectively to promote a positive work environment.
- Abide by all safety and company policies.
- Report to work on time when scheduled.
Safety
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) required for fire, water, and mold jobs; report any violations to the Superintendent.
- Report accidents and unsafe environments or behaviors immediately to a supervisor.
- Understand and abide by the safety program and all safety policies and procedures.
Decision-Making
- Assist APM or PM in reviewing individual work to ensure proper cleaning and eliminate repeat work.
- Ensure all safety equipment is on hand for specific job sites, including vehicle checklists.
- Perform tasks with the team to ensure quality product/service.
Challenges
- Potential lack of initial recognition as a Lead person, which may affect team responsiveness.
- Scope of work may be improperly estimated, leading to jobs taking more or less time than planned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Team Lead or Crew Lead experience.
- Commercial cleaning experience is a plus.
- Restoration, construction, and/or general labor experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of working experience.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Ability to travel for an extended amount of time.
Skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods (4+ hours at a time).
- Ability to bend, squat, reach over shoulder and head consistently.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions (e.g., cleaning rotation motion).
- Ability to work in hot environments.
- Ability to work in smoky-smelling environments.
- Ability to wear appropriate PPE, such as full-face respirators and eye goggles.
Pay
$18.00 - $20.00 per hour
