Restoration Inspector

Responsibilities

• Oversee and inspect the restoration of roadways by pavement contractors.
• Create instructions to contractors including modifying drawings and issuing materials.
• Create field sketch measurements for proposed pavement restorations.
• Coordinate road restoration with appropriate municipal agencies and representatives.
• Issue materials and paint field mark-outs for roadway restorations.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of working knowledge of the construction industry, specifically road construction.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interface with contractors and work outdoors.
• Valid NY State driver’s license.

The Authority may accept an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the requirements.

Pay

Annual salary range of $62,000–$72,000, commensurate with education and experience.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.

Suffolk County residence is highly preferred.
