Restoration Coordinator

Role summary / purposeRestoration Coordinators will be responsible for identifying all property restoration requirements caused by construction crews performing underground gas line replacement work. Property restoration needs are recorded and uploaded on an iPad on-site. This construction work is ongoing throughout the service territory in Southeast Michigan. Employees will be assigned different construction projects as they occur throughout the year and stay on each project until completed. Projects typically encompass neighborhoods and consist mostly of residential streets. Restoration Coordinators will work as a liaison between customers and restoration vendors/process.Key responsibilitiesIdentify and document all property restoration requirements resulting from construction workRecord and upload property restoration needs on iPad at project sitesServe as liaison between customers and restoration vendorsCommunicate with customers, contractors, and field crewsCoordinate with inspectors (city, county, and state agencies)Requirements - education & experienceAbility to be on feet 90% of the day with significant walking involvedOwn transportation required; mileage paid in accordance with company travel/expense policyBasic experience using iPad and basic Internet navigation skillsExperience with MS Office (Email, Excel, Word)Basic math skillsRequired skillsStrong communication skills (communicating with customers, contractors, field crews, and inspectors)Ability to work as a liaison between multiple partiesEmployment details - type, location, hoursFull-time position based in Southeast Michigan. 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Overtime hours may be required based on need. Employees will report to a DTE Gas Operations Supervisor and be assigned to different projects throughout the service territory as they occur.
