As a Restaurant Server, you are the face of the Saks Global dining experience, providing warm, sophisticated hospitality by combining deep menu knowledge with flawless table service to ensure every guest enjoys a premium, memorable meal that reflects the brand’s luxury standards.
Responsibilities
- Gracious Hospitality: Manage table pacing and interact with guests in an attentive, professional, and sophisticated manner.
- Epicurean Expertise: Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the food menu, preparation methods, ingredients, and culinary terminology; describe dishes, articulate daily specials, and handle dietary restrictions.
- Beverage Craft & Pairing: Offer tailored wine, beer, and spirit pairings and execute flawless technical beverage service procedures.
- Station Operations & Maintenance: Complete all pre‑shift, post‑shift, daily, and weekly side‑work duties as assigned.
- Table Settings: Follow strict brand guidelines for order of service, ensuring correct placement of fine china, luxury glassware, and flatware.
- Upkeep: Clean, sanitize, and maintain server workstations and active dining areas to guarantee a spotless floor environment.
- Physical Setup: Assist with moving or lifting service objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs) safely.
- Financial Integrity: Adhere to accounting procedures for guest transactions, accurately manage split checks and authorized payment methods in the POS system.
- Team Synergy: Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings to review covers, VIP reservations, and culinary updates.
- Luxury Standards: Maintain personal hygiene and presentation standards, including a clean, pressed uniform and professionally groomed hair and nails.
- Schedule & Shift Integrity: Arrive on time, fully uniformed, and prepared; punch in/out accurately; coordinate meal breaks and time‑off requests with management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Proven experience in a high‑end, premium, or upscale food and beverage environment following strict table service guidelines.
- Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, and the ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of upscale order‑of‑service guidelines, fine‑dining table setups, and culinary & beverage terminology.
- Strong foundational knowledge of premium wine, beer, and spirits for pairing recommendations.
- Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving abilities with premium clientele.
- Proficiency with POS systems and accurate transaction handling.
- Self‑motivated, highly organized, detail‑oriented, and collaborative team player.

Pay
Salary range: $20.12 – $25.15 per hour. Compensation varies by geographic location; actual starting pay is determined based on work location, experience, and other job‑related factors.
