Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for BJ's core restaurant technology platforms while partnering with Operations, Finance, Marketing, and IT teams to drive innovation and operational excellence.
- Manage major system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations from planning through deployment.
- Lead and support restaurant technology projects, ensuring successful execution and adoption.
- Evaluate, test, and deploy new functionality across restaurant systems and solutions.
- Partner with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and other business teams to develop technology solutions that support business objectives.
- Provide technical expertise during project planning, testing, configuration, and implementation phases.
- Serve as an advanced escalation point for complex restaurant systems issues and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers to optimize system performance and resolve issues.
- Evaluate new hardware and software solutions to support restaurant operations.
- Develop system documentation, training materials, and user support resources.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting and maintaining restaurant or retail POS systems preferred.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new systems and applications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues and identify effective solutions.
- Strong understanding of Windows environments, networking concepts, databases, and system integrations.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in fast-paced environments.
- Experience working collaboratively across departments and with external technology vendors.
- Able to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
