About the role
The Arkansas Legal Fellowship program provides legal training and experience to law students who are interested in public service careers in Arkansas. Fellows will work under the supervision of experienced attorneys on a variety of legal matters.
Responsibilities
- Assist with legal research and analysis
- Prepare legal documents and briefs
- Participate in client meetings and hearings
- Conduct legal investigations and gather evidence
- Provide legal advice and counsel to clients
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a law school
- Strong academic record
- Interest in public service
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- J.D. degree required upon completion of fellowship
- Pass the bar exam in Arkansas
Skills
- Proficiency in legal research and writing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
