Restaurant Server

Responsibilities

• Greeting guests with a smile and welcoming attitude
• Maintain dining ambiance with an enthusiastic manner
• Protect establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety and alcohol beverage control policies
• Taking customer food and drink orders
• Collaborate with the kitchen and bar staff for prompt and correct orders
• Retaining/memorizing the menu, and provide recommendations for food, wine or beverages
• Deliver a memorable dining experience by resolving all customer issues promptly
• Assist with tidying of tables and clearing tables, setting tables, and assembling utensils
• Set tables and arrange dining areas to accommodate larger groups and prepare the restaurant for special occasions
• Handling routine purchasing transactions including operating cash registers
• Operate point of sale system; Toast
• Prepare other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure in collaboration with support staff and kitchen staff
• Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
• Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
• Must be able to lift 30 lbs regularly
• Must be able to lift, carry, and balance trays
• Must have the ability to tolerate physical activity including standing for long periods, bending, walking, and other physical activity

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• Bartending and/or server experience (2+ years)
• Food service certificate (optional)
