About the role
As a Server at Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, you’ll be an indispensable member of our service team, curating guests’ impressions through hospitality, knowledge, and a seamless dining experience. You must be detail-oriented, committed to service etiquette, and thrive in a high-energy, collaborative setting. Selfless hospitality is key to delivering a remarkable guest experience and fostering a positive restaurant environment.
Candidates should be experts in food and wine service, eager to learn, adaptable under pressure, and ready to jump into any service role as needed.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional hospitality and guide guests through their dining experience
- Adhere to steps of service and etiquette with precision
- Provide expert knowledge of food and wine offerings
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Adapt to various service roles as needed
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in restaurant service
- Full availability for nights and weekends (full-time or part-time)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain composure
- Tips and/or Responsible Alcohol Service Certification (training provided if needed)
- Sommelier and/or Cicerone Certification a plus
Pay
Servers earn $24–$34 per hour with tips, with opportunities to earn more.
