Restaurant Server

Job Description

The Restaurant Server is responsible for sales of food and beverage to customers and responsible for accurate accounting on guest checks.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Greet, seat, and assist guests with menu selections
• Take and accurately relay orders to the kitchen
• Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout the meal
• Use suggestive selling techniques for appetizers, desserts, and drinks
• Address and resolve guest concerns promptly
• Clear tables and reset for new guests
• Process checks and payments accurately
• Complete assigned side work and maintain a clean work area
• Support team members to ensure smooth service

Minimum Education Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Experience/Skill Requirements

• A friendly, professional demeanor with a neat, well-groomed appearance
• Strong public relations skills and enjoyment in meeting guests
• Ability to remain poised and handle difficult situations with tact
• Calm under pressure and adaptable to varying work hours
• Dependable, honest, and open to feedback and training
• Knowledge of food, drinks, garnishes, and menu service times
• Familiarity with table setups, condiments, and overall food & beverage operations
