Restaurant Server

Summary Of Responsibilities

The bartender/server is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests. The server’s attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the success of the hotel.

Primary Responsibilities And Objectives

• Greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
• Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and timely manner
• Ensure guest satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests and concerns
• Clear tables and clean banquet areas during and after events
• Assist with event breakdown and clean-up
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow
• Provide excellent guest relations by maintaining positive and friendly communication
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education And Experience

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
• At least one year of customer service and restaurant experience is required
• Previous experience in bartending, hospitality, or catering is preferred

Scheduling

• Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working outside of business hours, weekends, and non-traditional holidays
• May be required to be on-call and aid during times of high demand

Environment

• Exposure to an environment typically found in a hotel or restaurant
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 pounds; ability to move on uneven surfaces; must be able to remain stationary, move around, reach, and position oneself as needed for extended periods of time; perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels, including the ability to receive detailed information through communication and to make the discriminations in sound; ability to compare, copy, coordinate, synthesize, negotiate, communicate, and instruct; ability to tolerate stressful situations
