About the role

We are seeking a Restaurant Manager for Recess Hotel and Club, a hands-on leader who will oversee daily restaurant operations, service execution, and the overall guest experience. This role plays a key part in shaping the restaurant’s culture—supporting the team, driving consistency, and ensuring each guest interaction reflects our approach to hospitality.

What you'll do

  • Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and consistent service across all shifts
  • Lead, coach, and support front-of-house team members to deliver attentive, personalized service
  • Partner with culinary and beverage teams to ensure seamless execution of food and beverage programs
  • Maintain alignment with brand standards while contributing to a distinctive and engaging dining experience
  • Engage with guests to anticipate needs, resolve concerns, and enhance overall satisfaction
  • Support scheduling, labor management, and staffing to meet operational demands
  • Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and presentation to ensure a polished environment
  • Aid in training and onboarding new team members on service expectations and brand standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to support events, programming, and overall guest experience
  • Contribute to financial performance by supporting cost control, inventory management, and revenue goals

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a restaurant management or supervisory role, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle-driven environment
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including service, staffing, and guest experience
  • Genuine passion for hospitality and creating meaningful guest interactions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and move banquet equipment as needed.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules based on business demands.
