Front of House Manager

Front of House Restaurant Managers are instrumental in achieving restaurant objectives at The Pour House in Exton, PA. They support the General Manager in planning, organizing, and training necessary for daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests feel welcomed and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Support servers and hostess staff, check-in with guests, and validate service standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, and sanitation.
  • Create a positive, productive working environment through training of employees.
  • Control cash and other receipts, adhere to cash handling and reconciliation procedures.
  • Partner with the General Manager in employment and termination decisions.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Strive to develop staff in all areas of service, food presentation, safety, and sanitation.
  • Prepare required paperwork in an organized and timely manner.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Document and communicate both positive and negative performance.
  • Assist General Manager in developing, planning, and carrying out restaurant marketing, advertising, and promotional activities.
  • Administer prompt, fair, and consistent corrective action for violations of company policies, rules, and procedures.
  • Schedule servers and hostesses as needed, ensuring labor cost objectives are met.
  • Understand and comply with relevant health, safety, and labor regulations.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant concept.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions using restaurant management guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze P&L statements and work within a budget.
  • A friendly, approachable attitude and effective communication skills.
  • A “can-do” attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn and execute quickly.
  • Possess basic computer skills and the ability to work with scheduling, time and attendance, and POS systems.
