Front of House Manager

PJ Whelihan's Restaurant + Pub in Newtown Square, PA is seeking a Front of House Manager to support the General Manager in achieving restaurant objectives. The ideal candidate must have at least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant concept and ServSafe certification.

  • Ensure all guests feel welcome and receive responsive, friendly, and courteous service.
  • Support servers and hostess staff, check-in with guests, and validate service standards.
  • Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance, and sanitation.
  • Partner with the General Manager in employment and termination decisions.
  • Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
  • Develop and train staff in all areas of service, food presentation, safety, and sanitation.
  • Prepare required paperwork and provide feedback and coaching to employees.
  • Manage labor costs and schedule servers and hostesses as needed.
  • Comply with all relevant health, safety, and labor regulations.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant concept.
  • ServSafe Certification required.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions using restaurant management guidelines.
  • Analytical skills to work within a budget.
  • A friendly, approachable attitude and effective communication skills.
  • A “can-do” attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn and execute quickly.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with scheduling, time, attendance, and POS systems.

Pay and Benefits

The Front of House Manager position offers a salary range of $56,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year. Additional benefits include:
