Overview
Jake’s Grill is a Portland dining institution blending timeless steakhouse elegance with vibrant city energy. Located within the historic Sentinel Hotel, it offers expertly prepared steaks, fresh Northwest seafood, craft cocktails, and a lively atmosphere that has been a local favorite since 1994.
Responsibilities
- Ensure excellence in guest satisfaction through a "Do Whatever It Takes" attitude and hands-on leadership
- Motivate and manage staff to achieve cost control and labor efficiency
- Inspect the establishment and observe workers and guests to ensure compliance with occupational, health, and safety standards and liquor regulations
- Verify the accuracy of paperwork including daily sales summaries, petty cash reimbursement forms, and payroll records
Qualifications
- At least 2+ years of upscale / fine dining restaurant management experience
- Extensive knowledge of front of house operations and financial aspects
- Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- A stable and progressive work history with a strong work ethic
