Restaurant Kitchen Manager

About the role

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar/Thrive Restaurant Group seeks a Kitchen Manager to lead and inspire a team in the kitchen. The ideal candidate will be passionate about hospitality and committed to developing a positive work environment that encourages growth and success.

Responsibilities

• Oversee kitchen operations to ensure quality and efficiency
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain high standards of service
• Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations
• Collaborate with other managers to maintain consistent standards across the restaurant
• Manage inventory and food costs to optimize profitability
• Support front-of-house operations to enhance overall guest experience

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Strong communication skills to interact with staff and guests
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Permit
• Experience with kitchen equipment and procedures
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
