Host Position

Host Position As a Host at Von Elrod’s, you’ll be the first point of contact for our guests and a key player in managing the flow of service. You’ll oversee reservations, waitlists, and seating while ensuring a welcoming and efficient guest experience.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of hosting experience in a high-volume restaurant
• Experience using Toast Tables and comfortable using an iPad throughout the shift
• Experience managing large parties and busy service periods
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
• Friendly, professional demeanor under pressure
• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Greet guests promptly and professionally
• Manage reservations, waitlists, and large-party seating using Toast Tables
• Cook up table flow and server sections with management and service staff
• Handle high guest volume efficiently while maintaining excellent hospitality
• Maintain a clean, organized host stand and entry area
• Assist guests with questions and special seating needs
• Sell and properly ring in restaurant merchandise using toast POS
