Restaurant Host – Grand Gardner Hotel

About the role

The Host role is the first point of contact for dining guests at the Grand Gardner Hotel. This role involves managing reservations and walk-ins, maintaining a clean and organized host station, and supporting the dining room by assisting with table resets and communicating guest preferences.

Responsibilities

• Manage reservations and walk-ins to optimize restaurant flow
• Maintain a clean and organized host station
• Monitor the waitlist during peak periods
• Introduce guests to their server and provide initial menu information
• Ensure the lobby and entrance areas remain pristine
• Assist with table resets
• Communicate guest preferences or special occasions to the management and service teams

Requirements

• Poseid and articulate individual
• Exceptional organizational skills
• A professional appearance
• Ability to navigate reservation software and multi-line phone systems
• Physical stamina to remain standing for up to 8 hours
• Ability to move through the property quickly to escort guests

Qualifications

• Warm, welcoming personality
• Commitment to the highest standards of boutique service
• Prior experience in a host or guest relations role preferred
