Responsibilities

  • A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.
  • Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
  • Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
  • Will be responsible for making, changing, and confirming restaurant reservations via OpenTable & phone.
  • Follows up on hotel front desk requests regarding reservations, Taste of Guadalajara sign ups, special events, etc.
  • Help servers and other restaurant staff polish and roll silverware.
  • Maintains cleanliness and organization of Host stand.
  • Ensures opening, ongoing and closing side work is complete and signed off by a manager on duty.
  • Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Follows through on lost and found procedures.
  • No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces.
  • Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Follows all Miramonte dress code standards.
  • Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests.
  • Provides general resort information for guests.
  • Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort activities as well as any special events.
  • Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating guests with a genuine and welcoming smile, inquiring about special occasions or dietary restrictions.
  • Using ticket printer to ensure communication regarding guests' reservations and ensure the servers receive the chit’s once the guest has been seated.
  • Take to go food orders for walk ups & call ins.
  • Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
  • Possesses valid Food Handler’s card.
  • Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Be highly detail orientated.
  • Be professional in appearance and demeanor.
  • Ensures a teamwork environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.
  • Resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
