Responsibilities
- A warm personality, attentive, and presentable.
- Committed to delivering high levels of customer service.
- Responds courteously and efficiently to queries and problems from guests, and all staff.
- Will be responsible for making, changing, and confirming restaurant reservations via OpenTable & phone.
- Follows up on hotel front desk requests regarding reservations, Taste of Guadalajara sign ups, special events, etc.
- Help servers and other restaurant staff polish and roll silverware.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of Host stand.
- Ensures opening, ongoing and closing side work is complete and signed off by a manager on duty.
- Always maintains a professional demeanor and attitude.
- Follows through on lost and found procedures.
- No articles shall be removed from occupied guest spaces.
- Absolute respect for guest property should always be exercised.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Follows all Miramonte dress code standards.
- Remains alert, courteous and helpful to the guests and colleagues at all time.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Offers menu advice and suggestions to guests.
- Provides general resort information for guests.
- Maintains an up to date working knowledge of all resort activities as well as any special events.
- Maintains a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction.
- Greeting guests as they enter the restaurant, seating guests with a genuine and welcoming smile, inquiring about special occasions or dietary restrictions.
- Using ticket printer to ensure communication regarding guests' reservations and ensure the servers receive the chit’s once the guest has been seated.
- Take to go food orders for walk ups & call ins.
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Miramonte including use of guest name & good eye contact with each guest.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Mature, pleasant, courteous, cooperative and an enthusiastic team player who displays good human relations’ skills.
- Possesses valid Food Handler’s card.
- Accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
- Be highly detail orientated.
- Be professional in appearance and demeanor.
- Ensures a teamwork environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Deal effectively and interact well with the guests and associates.
- Resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all guests.
