Responsible Master Plumber Colorado Plumbing Contractor Oversight
Generator Supercenter of Denver is seeking an experienced Master Plumber to provide responsible plumbing oversight for our Colorado operations. This W-2 employment role is designed for a qualified plumbing professional who can offer technical supervision, code guidance, permitting support, inspection support, and field consultation primarily related to standby generator installations and associated gas piping work.
A current Colorado Master Plumber license is preferred, but we are also open to candidates who hold an active state-issued Master Plumber or substantially equivalent plumbing license in Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho, Wyoming, or another state and may be eligible for Colorado licensure by endorsement. The company will assist the right candidate with the Colorado licensing process.
Responsibilities
- Provide responsible plumbing oversight for company plumbing/gas work in Colorado
- Offer code and technical guidance for gas piping related to standby generator installations
- Support permitting, inspections, and AHJ-related questions
- Review plumbing/gas installation practices, documentation, and field standards
- Be available by phone, video, or in person when technical questions arise
- Guide field teams on compliant installation methods and issue resolution
- Assist with inspection corrections, code interpretations, and escalated field questions
- Periodically review company plumbing processes, checklists, and quality standards
- Provide occasional in-person support in Colorado when needed, with approved travel expenses paid by the company
Requirements
- Active Master Plumber license or substantially equivalent plumbing credential issued by a U.S. state
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, fuel gas piping, permitting, and inspection requirements
- Experience supervising, qualifying, or providing responsible oversight for plumbing work
- Ability to provide practical guidance to field teams and company leadership
- Professional communication skills by phone, video, and email
- Willingness to apply for Colorado licensure by endorsement if not already licensed in Colorado
- Ability to serve as the responsible Master Plumber for a Colorado plumbing contractor if approved
Qualifications
- Current Colorado Master Plumber license (preferred)
- Master Plumber license from Utah, New Mexico, Texas, Idaho, Wyoming, or another state with comparable licensing standards
- Experience with natural gas or propane piping
- Experience with residential mechanical/plumbing permitting and inspections
- Experience working with generator installations, gas load calculations, or utility coordination
- Prior experience serving as a qualifying party, responsible Master Plumber, RMP, or license qualifier
- Familiarity with remote technical oversight and field support
Schedule
This is a flexible W-2 oversight role that does not require daily jobsite attendance but does require reliable availability for a defined number of oversight hours each week. The right candidate must be available for:
- Scheduled weekly check-ins as needed
- Phone or video support for field questions
- Permit or inspection-related consultation
- Technical review of plumbing/gas installation issues
- Occasional in-person support in Colorado if required (with company-paid travel expenses)

Compensation is structured as W-2 wages based on:
- Current licensing status
- Colorado endorsement eligibility
- Experience level
- Required availability
- Level of operational involvement
- Ability to serve as the responsible Master Plumber for the company
