About the role
We are looking for Responsive Repairs Surveyors to join our team delivering high-quality, customer-focused services to our 27,500 homes. You will survey customer homes and refurbish empty homes to bring them back into use, working alongside residents and leaseholders to manage repairs end-to-end. The role involves handling issues and complaints before, during, or after works, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery while working within tight timelines and budgets.
The role is varied, fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding, offering both job and customer satisfaction. It requires commitment, accountability, and a can-do attitude, where going the extra mile is standard practice. You will have day-to-day operational responsibility for repairs and maintenance within a designated patch in the City of Bristol boundaries.
You must have HHSRS (Housing Health and Safety Rating System) experience, knowledge, and/or training in preparation for Awaab’s Law Phase 2, which will be implemented in November 2026.
Responsibilities
- Survey customer homes and refurbish empty homes to bring them back into use.

- Drive continuous improvement in the delivery of responsive repairs services.
- Operate within tight timelines and budgets.
- Take day-to-day operational responsibility for repairs and maintenance in a designated patch within Bristol.
Requirements
