About the role

This is a critical position with a strong focus on driving service improvement, strengthening governance, and delivering an excellent customer experience across a diverse housing portfolio of approximately 27,500 homes.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and overseeing the Damp and Mould function
  • Ensuring full compliance with Awaab’s Law and associated regulatory requirements
  • Establishing robust governance frameworks
  • Driving performance against statutory timescales
  • Effectively managing risk
  • Ensuring all cases are progressed with urgency, transparency, and a clear audit trail
  • Ensuring inspections are carried out to a high technical standard
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure a joined-up and compliant approach to service delivery
  • Assuring external partners deliver services that meet contractual, regulatory, and quality standards

Requirements

  • Significant technical expertise
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and performance managing multidisciplinary teams in a regulated environment
  • A strong understanding of compliance, risk management, and governance
  • The ability to embed clear processes, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement
  • Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills
  • A strong commitment to customer care
