About the role
The Responder maintains security and safety of people and property to the Datacenter. They identify and escalate issues in accordance with documented policies and procedures, conduct patrols, prepare reports, serve as an escort, monitor cameras, evaluate and escalate potential safety issues, and maintain logs and records.
Responsibilities
- Respond to security incidents as dispatched within designated tier times.
- Conducts patrols of the interior and exterior of the datacenter facility.
- Prepares reports on a surface book device on incidents responded to during shift.
- Serves as Incident Commander pending arrival of security supervisor, or member of a public service agency police or fire.
- Serves as an escort for datacenter guests requiring individual escorts through the facility.
- Maintains logs and records in accordance with the Datacenter Standard Operations Procedure (SOP).
- Evaluates and escalates potential safety issues within the facility.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
- Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
- Must have the legal right to work in the Country.
- Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
- Must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma Or GED Is Required.
- Work experience in the security industry, public service (police, fire) or military is desired.
- Supervisory experience of 1+ years is required.
Skills
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Knowledge of fire inspection procedures.
- Capable of learning a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
- Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
- Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
