Respite Provider (Columbiana County)

About the role

Cadence Care Network has a full-time Respite Provider position available to serve Columbiana County. The Respite Provider offers short-term temporary relief to the caregiver of eligible clients by mentoring youth and modeling skills that help them successfully minimize the negative impact of behavioral health issues.

The employee will identify enjoyable and meaningful activities in the community and engage clients through youth-friendly, culturally appropriate recreation. They will teach and reinforce social, daily-living, and community functioning, with a focus on behavioral health needs.

This is a great position for college students majoring in psychology, social work, and other similar programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide short-term temporary relief to caregivers of eligible clients.
• Mentor youth and model skills to minimize the negative impact of behavioral health issues.
• Identify and engage clients in enjoyable, meaningful community activities.
• Teach and reinforce social, daily-living, and community functioning skills with a focus on behavioral health needs.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and provision of transportation, insurance, and the ability to use your vehicle for work.
• Experience working with individuals having behavioral health and/or developmental needs.
