Respite Provider
About the role
The Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. This role provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, ensuring their children are safe and well cared for.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting.
- Provide a break for parents and guardians by managing childcare responsibilities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children in your care.
- Regular travel in agency vehicles may be required, necessitating a valid driver’s license.
- May require obtaining a current First Aid/CPR certification.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required.
- Experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required.
- Experience working with children is required.
- Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license is required due to regular travel in agency vehicles.
Skills
- Ability to plan and execute engaging activities.
- Knowledge of child development and behavior management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Pay
$19.00 - $21.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
