Respite Provider
About the role
The Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. This role provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, ensuring their children are safe and well cared for.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting
- Ensure safety and well-being of children in care
- Provide support and companionship to children and families
- Coordinate with families to understand needs and preferences
- Assist in maintaining a safe and nurturing environment
- Regular travel in agency vehicles may be required
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required
- Some experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required
- Some experience working with children is required
- Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to submit health history record forms.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and flexibility are essential.

Pay
$19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
