Respite Provider
About the role
The Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. This role provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, ensuring their children are safe and well cared for.
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Ensure the children's safety and well-being during respite sessions.
- Communicate regularly with families about the children's progress and needs.
- Document activities and observations accurately.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required.
- Some experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required.
- Some experience working with children is required.
- Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms.
- This position requires regular travel in agency vehicles, so a valid driver’s license is required.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required.

$19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
