Respite Provider
About the role
The Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. This role provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, ensuring their children are safe and well cared for.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of the children under your care.
- Provide a supportive environment that promotes self-care for both children and caregivers.
- Coordinate with families to understand their needs and preferences for respite care.
- Regularly communicate with supervisors about the progress and needs of the children in your care.
- Travel in agency vehicles as needed, requiring a valid driver’s license and a current First Aid/CPR certification.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required.
- Experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required.
- Experience working with children is required.
- Willingness and ability to submit health history record forms.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required.

$19.00-$21.00 per hour
Schedule
Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
