Respite Provider
About the role
The Respite Provider will plan, coordinate, and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting. This role provides parents and guardians a break from caregiving, ensuring their children are safe and well cared for.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute fun, engaging, and therapeutic activities for kids in a 1:1 or group setting.
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Ensure the well-being and safety of the children in your care.
- Work closely with families to understand their needs and preferences.
- Coordinate with other professionals as needed to provide comprehensive support.
- Regularly update supervisors on the progress and needs of the children in your care.
Requirements
- An associate’s degree or completion of at least two years (60 hours) of coursework towards a Bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, or a related field is required.
- Some experience working directly with individuals with behavioral health concerns is required.
- Some experience working with children is required.
- Must be willing and able to submit health history record forms.
- This position requires regular travel in agency vehicles, so a valid driver’s license is required.
- A current First Aid/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one is required.

Schedule
Flexible, mostly days, afternoons, and evenings during the week, occasional weekends, no overnights
