Respiratory Therapy Manager

About the Role

Responsible for leading and managing the respiratory care department, ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient workflow. Offers leadership, operational oversight, and adherence to regulatory standards to uphold departmental excellence and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Provides staff guidance, delegates tasks, and organizes daily operations.
• Promotes teamwork and oversees staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
• Handles human resource activities and ensures departmental activities meet JCAHO standards and facility policies.
• Covers patient caseloads as needed and manages budgets and system analyses.
• Demonstrates critical thinking and maintains effective communication with medical staff and patients.

Requirements

• Current Colorado Respiratory License.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS within 60 days of hire.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Five years of clinician experience, including three years in a supervisory role.
• Expert knowledge of respiratory care principles.
• Ability to handle responsibilities under pressure and make independent decisions.
