Essential Job Functions
- Performs diagnostic tests such as EKG's to inform the development of treatment plans.
- Aids in the monitoring of invasive and non-invasive ventilators to track and improve the patient's recovery.
- Advocates for patients' needs internally to deliver the most appropriate care.
- Verifies using established protocol that equipment is functioning properly so that treatment plans can be carried out.
- Documents care and outcomes as required by regulatory agencies and organizational procedures to maintain patient records and suggest improvements in care.
- Supports the administration of more advanced therapies, such as bronchoscopies, to treat more complex cases.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience Requirements
- Graduate of a 2-year school for Respiratory Therapy.
- 1 year of clinical experience in Respiratory Care at Cone Health.
Licenses, Certifications, & Listings
- Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care as an RRT.
- Licensed by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board as a CRT or RRT.
- BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
- ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
